Glowing Pulpit Rock
£150.00 – £750.00
Description
Shot on a lovely clear night in July 2015, with the Milky Way piercing through the bright beams of Portland Bill lighthouse overhead. On my walk down to Pulpit Rock, I came across a sound I’d never heard before, which turned out to be the continuous almost robotic call of a nightjar (quite a rare bird in the UK). Totally freaked out, but managed to concentrate and got this shot before the moon rose. The sky was a stack of 8x 30s exposures at ISO 6,400, and the foreground was a 10-minute exposure at ISO 400.
A4 and limited edition mounted prints are printed on high quality Fuji glossy photo paper. Larger prints are available, printed on durable, scratch-proof and weather-proof vinyl, mounted on a 3mm thick aluminium composite board, creating a light, strong and unfussy product.
