Moonrise above San Quirico d’Orcia

During our time in Tuscany, we spent a few nights in an Agriturismo at the foot of the ancient town of Pienza. We got up early one morning in order to shoot the sun rising above the undulating Tuscan hills from a viewpoint in the town, but I was quickly distracted when I noticed the moon rising above the town of San Quirico d’Orcia, some six kilometres away. Using my girlfriend’s 150x600mm lens, I was able to capture the moon and the town in great detail from the back yard of the farm in which we were staying!

Smaller prints are printed on high quality Fuji matt photo paper. Larger prints are available, printed on durable, scratch-proof and weather-proof vinyl, mounted on a 3mm thick aluminium composite board, creating a light, strong and unfussy product.
